As we approach the year 2020's summer We will be doubtful about the future of the Rotary member-to-member connection. The motto "hands-face-space" is sure to be commonplace in our club, it is obvious that trust is increasing and that there is a greater number of face-to-face relationships. Rotary's face has changed. However, there is a certain amount of uncertainty that will continue to grow as we progress into summer 2021. It is yet to be determined if those human connections Rotary members valued during the past will remain. Even though the "hands looking outwards" mantra is sure to be a part of the daily routines in our organization There's no doubt that there is a feeling of trust is growing and more members make face-to-face connections. Rotary's face has changed. The Rotary network helps build bonds which last. The outbreak of the pandemic was the catalyst for us to take on technology. We have sharpened up the way we conduct online meetings for our business as well as reintroducing the social and service aspects with a secure face-to-face setting. The new possibilities have been combined with the best practices for preventing pandemics to help create a brand new and bright future for Rotary. It's an encouraging thing to hear that 75 percent of Rotary clubs plan to continue their "business as usual" routines. This summer, many Rotary members were out with their families and friends, working on various projects including river and beach clean-ups, litter removal and beach cleanups. I am grateful for the opportunity that Rotary offered me in 2002 with the opportunity to become an official participant. Rotary has provided me, just and many other people an extensive network that is a safe and dependable group of people with similar interests to which I've developed genuine friendships during the last twenty years.
